United for Justice: Forfeiting Russia’s Assets through an International Compensation Mechanism
On November 20, 2023, Senator Omidvar participated in the 2023 United for Justice Conference, hosted by the Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, the Embassy of Ukraine in Canada, Massey College, and the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights.
The United for Justice Conference convened global leaders and experts in the justice and human rights sectors to pursue accountability for Russian war crimes, shine a spotlight on the unlawful deportation of Ukrainian children, and invite participants to consider their role in securing justice for Ukraine.
