Senate Financial Record

An effective Senate is an accountable and transparent institution for all Canadians.

Senators expenditures are disclosed quarterly to the public and divided into five sections.

  1. Office Expenses (excluding salary and benefits),
  2. Hospitality Expenses,
  3. Living Expenses in the National Capital Region,
  4. Travel Expenses, and
  5. Contract(s) Awarded.

Expenditures are disclosed in the quarter during which they have been processed and paid by the Senate Administration, which is not necessarily the same quarter in which the senator incurred the expense.
