WATCH: The Importance of Women in the COVID-19 Response

On May 15, 2020, Senator Ratna Omidvar was invited by Women Political Leaders and the World Bank to contribute to a series of video messages portraying female Members of Parliament. The aim of the series is to elevate the voices of female leaders and to underscore their responses to COVID-19. In the video, Senator Omidvar highlights the vital work that women have performed during the pandemic, such as working as doctors, nurses, personal support workers, and grocery clerks.
